In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus gave the Great Commission, commanding His followers to “Go” and “Make disciples of all nations.” He didn’t command us to go and simply make converts, but He specifically said, make disciples. The question then for church leaders of today is… “How do we do this?” How do we fulfill the Great Commission in our local context, and raise up men and women who are disciples of Jesus, who then grow to become disciple makers? That’s where Operation Solid Lives (OSL) comes in.

OSL is a highly effective and proven system of discipleship that has been written, tested, and refined–time and again–for over 20 years, to both maximize its ability to impact an individual and to accommodate masses of genuinely hungry believers. Thousands of people to date have had their life transformed through OSL, not because of a program, but because OSL is designed to saturate students with the Word of God, drawing them into a deeper relationship with Jesus.

In Luke 6:46-48 Jesus gives simple instructions on how we become solid lives, or we could say, solid disciples. He said “Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings, and does them…is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock.” That is exactly what OSL teaches people to do, Come to Jesus, Hear His sayings, and Do them, for the rest of their lives.

OSL is designed with five levels which build-one upon another- to lay a solid biblical foundation. All levels include powerful audio teachings, daily bible reading and response journaling, Bible memorization and other key disciplines.

The Rock has now grown to be in multiple locations and languages. Along with his wife Kimberly, Jerry has served in various ministries over the past 25 years, including being the National Youth Director for The Foursquare Church. It was in 2003 that the Lord impressed Jerry to disciple his congregation using a modified version of a youth discipleship program he had written years earlier. Jerry called this version, “Operation Solid Lives” (OSL). While OSL started out slowly, by 2004 it had exploded. By 2008, OSL began to spread to other churches throughout the United States and Internationally. Now OSL is being used by hundreds of churches, resulting in thousands of lives being radically transformed.
